4. Packet of word lists in which combinations of letters make the same sound.

These phonograms are listed on the cover of the packet.

 

For example:

ew

ue

u - e

There is one list of words for each of the phonograms.

 

Exercise:

The teacher takes a packet of word lists to the child's table and shows him the cover. "We can make the sound 'ee' in all these different ways." The teacher takes out one list. "This is one way we can make the sound 'ee.'" The child reads the word lists with the understanding that these are all ways of writing the same sound.
