The Insets for Design - Exercise 3
EXERCISE 3:
-
- The teacher takes a frame, its inset, a square of colored
paper and two pencils in contrasting colors to the child's table.
The teacher covers the paper with the frame and draws the shape.
She then shows the child how she covers the drawn shape exactly
with the inset. She draws around the inset with the second pencil.
She removes the inset. The second figure appears just outside
the first one on the paper. A child is often interested to see
that the hollow frame and the solid inset give the same result.
